River Loja loop, 13 km

It is not without reason that the Loja is called the Rocky Rivulet. Despite the views to be enjoyed here, the banks of the Loja are not as popular with tourists as those of the Brasla or the Amata. Along the right bank of the Loja, below the Inčukalns–Valka (A3) road, stretch paths where no large differences in relief have to be overcome. In warm weather some sections of the river can also be waded (sandy, in places stony bed), as the Loja is a very shallow river. This is a suitable place for Nordic walkers and nature observers, as interesting plants, birds, insects and fungi can be seen here.
