River Loja 18 km

It is not without reason that the Loja is called the Cliff Rivulet. Despite the views to be enjoyed here, the banks of the Loja are not as popular and favoured by tourists as those of the Brasla or the Amata. Along the right bank of the Loja, downstream of the Inčukalns–Valka (A3) road, stretch paths where no great differences in terrain have to be overcome. In warm weather, some sections of the river can also be waded (sandy, in places stony riverbed), as the Loja is a very shallow river. This is a suitable place for Nordic walkers and nature watchers, as interesting plants, birds, insects and fungi can be seen here.
