A real challenge for active path walkers. The path leads through the Peļļi ravine, carved out by glacial meltwater, whose four lakes form the natural border between Latvia and Estonia and allow a visit to the part of Estonia called the Devil’s Land (Paganamaa). Alongside the route you can view the extensive stone piles of the Vorotka ancient fields and climb the Paganamaa observation tower, from which views open over the Border Ravine with its chain of lakes, as well as over the hills of Latvia on the other side of the lakes. The walk can be combined with swimming in Lake Ilgājs and Lake Smilšājs, geocaching and overnight stays at the Nature House by Lake Palpiers or Lake Ilgājs.
A review and photo can be added in the Routes LV app after completing the route.
